HOUSING and Local Government Minister (KPKT), Nga Kor Ming, accepted with an open heart the reprimand regarding the incident that occurred during the pre-launch press conference of the “I Lite U” programme recently.

In a post on Facebook today, he said that his mistake would be used as a lesson and stressed his commitment to continue respecting media freedom in this country.

“As a leader, I never intended to offend any party, especially journalists who are the pillars of information for the Madani Government,” he said.

At the same time, Nga also expressed his appreciation to media practitioners for their support in the effort to convey the KPKT initiative to the people.

He also expressed his willingness to meet with the media involved in the near future to resolve the issue amicably and prudently.

"I humbly agree to meet with the media involved in the near future so that this matter can be resolved amicably and in an orderly manner," he explained.

Previously, a video recording at an event went viral showing Nga in a somewhat harsh tone answering a question from a journalist regarding the name of the event which was in English.

The minister's action, however, received criticism from various parties. - November 2, 2025
