THE Ministry of Education (MOE) will not compromise on any of its officers found to be involved in illicit activities.

The MOE stated its determination to combat immoral activities at all levels and views the involvement of its officers seriously, with an investigation into the incident underway.

"Immediate action has been taken to ensure that the officers involved are no longer in any educational institution under the MOE until the investigation process is complete.

"All department heads are reminded to increase monitoring and ensure immoral activities are combated at every level," it said in a statement today.

Recently, 201 men who were also visitors to a health centre on Jalan Raja Laut in Kuala Lumpur were arrested after being suspected of being involved in illicit relations.

Those aged between 19 and 60 were arrested in a surprise operation at around 8pm involving the Kuala Lumpur Police Contingent, Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) and the Federal Territory Islamic Religious Department (JAWI).

Of the 201 arrested, 17 of them were civil servants including surgeons, deputy public prosecutors, diplomatic administrative officers, teachers and enforcement agency officers.

Previously, the President of the West Malaysia Malay Teachers' Union (KGMMB), Mohd Sobri Yusuf, said the arrest of individuals including teachers by the authorities was serious. - December 1, 2025
