KUALA LUMPUR – Another pipe burst, cutting off water supply to 43 areas in Petaling district.

In a statement tonight, Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd said the pipe, 1m in diameter, was damaged this evening due to a landslide.

This has caused an unscheduled water supply disruption in Damansara Utama, Seapark and Seaport.

Repair works are ongoing but Air Selangor has yet to ascertain its completion schedule.

This is in addition to another pipe incident this morning.

Air Selangor shut down water supply at 1pm in 58 areas in Klang and Shah Alam, and 72 areas in the Petaling district due to a burst main pipe.

The incident was detected at Persiaran Tengku Ampuan in Section 15, Shah Alam.

The water supply was turned off this afternoon to facilitate repair works.

According to a statement today, repair works are estimated to be completed by 9pm today and water supply will resume thereafter.

However, Air Selangor at 9.30pm announced a staggered resumption of water supply. – The Vibes, December 29, 2020
