THE Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) has pledged to take strict action against any personnel found guilty of misconduct or disciplinary breaches after allegations of immoral activities emerged at its bases.

Chief of Air Force, General Datuk Seri Muhamad Norazlan Aris, confirmed that a comprehensive investigation is ongoing and warned that anyone found responsible would face the full weight of military regulations.

“All forms of immoral activity within airbases are strictly prohibited as they tarnish the image and honour of RMAF,” he said, adding that the leadership views the matter with utmost seriousness.

The probe follows directives from the Ministry of Defence for the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) to conduct an immediate internal inquiry to verify claims circulating on social media.

The allegations include videos and photographs purportedly showing women dressed in provocative nightclub-style attire being brought into military installations and seated at a bar believed to be located within a base.

Additional claims suggest that parties involving women were held within the military compounds. However, authorities caution that the authenticity of the videos and images has not yet been confirmed.

Norazlan emphasised that TUDM leadership expresses regret over the incident and that all findings will be addressed according to established service regulations.

The military insists that no compromise will be made on discipline or ethical standards, reinforcing its commitment to uphold the integrity and reputation of the Air Force.

The Ministry of Defence reiterated its expectation that the investigation be thorough, aiming to establish the facts and hold accountable any personnel involved in activities deemed incompatible with the duties and conduct expected of armed forces members. - January 7, 2025
