TUN Daim Zainuddin's widow, Toh Puan Na'imah Abdul Khalid, has denied Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's claim that she attempted to "topple the government" through a plan with a UK public relations firm.

"Anwar’s statements are false, preposterous, outrageous, and a blatant attempt to mislead Parliament and the public.

"There is nothing like this, as alleged by Anwar, contained in the Daim family’s PR communications plan dated August 2025," she said in a statement issued by her lawyers Rajesh Nagarajan and Sachpreetraj Singh.

She said statements that "bankers" and "Zionists" were involved in the alleged plan were inaccurate.

"There is not one word about Zionism or Israel or anything related to it in the entire communications plan.

"It is purely a business and PR plan. Neither is there anything on toppling or even undermining the Malaysian government,” read the statement.

The lawyers said Na'imah may take legal action if similar claims are repeated outside parliament.

In the Dewan Rakyat earlier, Anwar revealed that the attempt to overthrow the government, currently under police investigation, not only involves foreign parties colluding with local citizens, but also the direct involvement of prominent Zionist groups.

The Prime Minister said the attempt to overthrow the government was believed to be driven by a large-scale corruption investigation by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC). – March 3, 2026
