KUALA LUMPUR – After floodwaters have receded, the Sg Selisik water treatment plant has resumed operations at 7am today, said Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd.

The plant was closed after its intake area saw a critical surge of water levels, leading to a shutdown at 5.40pm yesterday.

In a statement on its Facebook page today, Air Selangor said eight areas in Hulu Selangor had experienced unscheduled water supply disruption, namely Kg Sg Nilam/Kg Seri Pagi, Kg Lalang, Rumah Murah PKT 2 Sg Selisek, Kg Serigala, Kg Orang Asli, Kg Bahom, Kg Sekolah/Kuarters Klinik and Kg Gesir Tengah.

The company is now working to stabilise the water supply system. Affected consumers are expected to receive water supply at 10am in stages according to their location.

Consumers can expect a full restoration of water supply by tomorrow at 7am.
