POLICE are investigating an incident involving a 16-year-old female student who reportedly fell from a building at a school in Pontian, Johor, prompting immediate medical intervention and an official report to the authorities.
Pontian district police chief Superintendent Hadzrat Hussien Mion Hussain confirmed that police had received a report lodged by the school and said investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.
“So far, no elements of bullying have been detected. The investigation also does not involve any criminal offence.”
According to an earlier statement issued by the school, staff acted swiftly after the incident by arranging for the student to be taken to hospital for medical treatment before subsequently lodging a police report.
Authorities have not disclosed further details regarding the student's condition or the circumstances that led to the fall, while investigations continue to establish the full sequence of events.
Police have stressed that, based on preliminary findings, there is currently no indication that the case is linked to bullying or any criminal activity. - June 11, 2026
