PAS has confirmed that it held a meeting with the RESET group, led by former Bersatu deputy president Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin, in Rusila on Wednesday, amid growing political interest in the gathering ahead of a related convention in Kelantan.

PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang acknowledged the meeting but declined to reveal details of the discussions, saying further announcements would be made at an official programme in Kelantan.

“Indeed, there was a meeting and I will announce several matters at a programme to be held in Tanah Merah, Kelantan, tomorrow.”

“I confirm that I will be attending and officiating the RESET Convention to be held in Tanah Merah, Kelantan, tomorrow,” he said when met after delivering a dhuha lecture at Masjid Rusila on Thursday.

It is understood that Hamzah, who is also the Member of Parliament for Larut, was present at the meeting.

Separately, PAS leadership confirmed that  Hadi has agreed to officiate the RESET Convention scheduled to take place in Tanah Merah, Kelantan.

The matter was announced by PAS president’s political secretary Mohd Syahir Sulaiman, who said two key political events will take place on the same day.

“Tan Sri Abdul Hadi has accepted the invitation from Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin and agreed to attend and officiate the RESET Convention in Kelantan.”

He also said that another major event would take place in Negeri Sembilan, where PAS deputy president Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man is expected to welcome more than 10 professionals, corporate figures and administrators into the party.

At the same time, Mohd Syahir, who is also the Bachok Member of Parliament, said PAS is currently holding annual general meetings at the constituency level nationwide, with reports of increasing membership and branch activity.

“PASTI and SRITI schools have been established, and welfare activities are continuing,” he said in a Facebook post.

The developments come amid heightened political activity within PAS, as the party steps up organisational mobilisation and outreach efforts across the country while maintaining engagement with allied political figures. - June 12, 2026
