A 15-YEAR-OLD boy was killed after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a lorry at Kilometre 53 of Jalan Teluk Intan-Klang near Sungai Haji Dorani in Selangor last night.

The incident occurred at about 11.15pm, with the teenager pronounced dead at the scene.

Sabak Bernam district police chief Superintendent Md Yusof Ahmad said initial investigations found that the victim, who was riding a Yamaha Lagenda motorcycle, was travelling in the right lane from Klang towards Teluk Intan.

He said that upon reaching the location, a lorry travelling in the left lane changed direction into the right lane before colliding with the motorcycle.

“The impact caused the rider to fall onto the road before he was run over by the lorry. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene,” he said when contacted today.

Md Yusof said police were currently working to trace the lorry driver following the accident.

He added that the victim’s body was taken to Hospital Tengku Ampuan Jemaah (HTAJ), Sabak Bernam, for a post-mortem examination.

“The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

“Police are appealing to witnesses of the incident to come forward by contacting Inspector Siti Atikah Md Ali at 013-3328212 to assist with investigations,” he said. - July 24, 2026
