THE newly appointed Negeri Sembilan Executive Council (Exco) members will be sworn into office at Istana Besar Seri Menanti here tomorrow morning.

The oath-taking ceremony is expected to be held before the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir.

According to an invitation issued by the Corporate Unit of the State Secretary's Office, members of the media have been invited to cover the ceremony from 9.45am.

The ceremony will also be attended by Menteri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim.

Ismail, who is the Juasseh assemblyman, was sworn in as the ninth Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan on Sunday during a ceremony at the Balairung Seri of Istana Besar Seri Menanti.

He retained the Juasseh state seat in the recent Negeri Sembilan state election, securing a majority of 4,323 votes against Bersatu's Mohd Zuhaimi Md Yusof and Pakatan Harapan's (PH) Mohd Aidil Abdullah.

The Barisan Nasional (BN)-Perikatan Nasional (PN) alliance successfully formed the new state government after winning 25 of the 36 state assembly seats.

BN secured 18 seats, while PN won 11, giving the coalition government a two-thirds majority in the Negeri Sembilan State Legislative Assembly. - August 6, 2026
