The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission’s investigation into Lembaga Tabung Haji has widened, with two more former senior officials brought to court today for a remand hearing.

A former TH chairman and former Treasury secretary-general arrived at the Putrajaya Magistrates’ Court at about 9.30am, wearing orange lock-up attire and handcuffed.

They were escorted by MACC officers.

A former TH chief executive officer, who is already being held in connection with the investigation, was also brought to court this morning.

The former CEO was remanded for seven days from Aug 21 to Aug 27 after MACC secured the order from Magistrate Ezrene Zakariah.

The latest two detainees, both in their 60s, were detained at about 4 pm yesterday after they turned up at MACC headquarters.

MACC is investigating issues raised in the Royal Commission of Inquiry report into TH’s management and operations.
