POLICE are investigating a viral fight involving three teenage girls at Dataran Melang in Kuala Pilah after a 15-year-old girl was allegedly injured during a confrontation arising from a dispute over the circulation of her photograph on social media.

Kuala Pilah district police chief Superintendent Muhamad Mustafah Hussin said police received a report on the incident last Wednesday.

“In the incident, a 15-year-old female student is said to have gone to Dataran Melang with her brother to meet two acquaintances.

“The meeting was reportedly to discuss a misunderstanding following the circulation of her photograph on social media,” he said in a statement today.

He said a scuffle subsequently broke out between the complainant and the two individuals, leaving the teenager injured.

“The teenager then returned home with her family members. She subsequently went with her father to the residence of one of the individuals involved on Thursday to discuss the matter before lodging a police report,” he said.

Muhamad Mustafah said police were taking the incident seriously and investigating to determine the actual cause of the confrontation and identify those involved.

Members of the public with information are urged to contact the Kuala Pilah District Police Headquarters at 06-48429999, investigating officer Sergeant Shamsuldalila Mohamad at 011-10129038, or any nearby police station. - September 4, 2026
