THE Form Two student who died after being bullied at a school dormitory in Kuala Pilah last Friday was beaten by two senior students on the night of the incident before being found unconscious.
In addition to being beaten, the soles of the victim—the late Muhammad Idlan Fareeq, 14—were repeatedly struck with a rubber hose by two Form Four students.
This was revealed by Negeri Sembilan Police Chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad, who stated that the victim was initially ordered by a senior to fetch a rubber hose from the bathroom before being taken to a dormitory room on the second floor.
The victim is believed to have been beaten first in the room of a 16-year-old senior on the first floor before being taken to the main suspect's room on the second floor.
“The victim was ordered to sit down before the soles of his feet were struck several times with the rubber hose.
“After that, the victim was told to stand and remove his shirt before being punched and struck on the front and back of his body until he collapsed,” he said.
Alzafny said that upon seeing the victim's condition becoming critical, they laid him on a bed, and one of the suspects attempted to administer CPR.
Due to the severity of the victim's condition, they immediately contacted the warden; Muhammad Idlan was then taken to Tuanku Ampuan Najihah Hospital in Kuala Pilah, where he was pronounced dead.
According to Alzafny, investigations revealed that the incident involved two 16-year-old suspects.
It was reported last Sunday that the family of the student who died after the assault at the Kuala Pilah dormitory wants the school to explain the facts behind the incident. – September 29, 2026
