PAKATAN Harapan (PH) must counter slander and racial incitement by demonstrating its achievements and service to the people as it seeks voters’ support in the Nov 14 Melaka state election, says its chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, Anwar, who is also Prime Minister, called on all PH candidates and campaign workers to work hard and carry out their responsibilities with sincerity.

“Come on, all Pakatan Harapan candidates and campaign machinery, shoulder this responsibility in the Melaka state election through hard work.

“Hopefully, our sincerity and determination can make history in Melaka and drive reforms towards a fairer, more prosperous and dignified future,” he said.

PH is fielding 21 candidates from its three component parties in the 16th Melaka state election, compared with 28 in the 2021 polls.

The Election Commission has set Oct 31 for nomination day, Nov 10 for early voting and Nov 14 for polling. - October 26, 2026
