PAKATAN Harapan has added three candidates to its Melaka state election line-up, bringing the coalition's total number of seats contested to 24.

Parti Amanah Negara will field Jasin branch chief Datuk Aminuddin Abdul Jalil in Sungai Rambai and Masjid Tanah women's wing chief Junainah Sahat in Taboh Naning.

Melaka Amanah chairman Ashraf Mukhlis Minghat confirmed the two nominations.

Parti Keadilan Rakyat secretary-general Datuk Dr Fuziah Salleh, meanwhile, said the party had selected retired Army major Jaimi Dimon to contest Ayer Limau.

The latest additions bring PKR's total to 10 candidates, while Amanah and DAP will each contest seven seats.

Harapan had previously announced 21 candidates at its election machinery launch and candidate announcement at Hang Jebat Stadium on Oct 24.

In the 2021 Melaka state election, the coalition won five of the 28 seats, with DAP securing four and Amanah one.
