A SCHOOLBOY in Nilai has tested positive for three types of drugs following a police investigation into a viral video allegedly showing him in an intoxicated state inside a classroom.

Negeri Sembilan Police Chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said preliminary urine screening detected ketamine, benzodiazepines and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), although the findings are pending further confirmation.

He said police identified and detained the student after the footage began circulating on social media platform Threads.

Investigations found that the incident allegedly occurred on Oct 28 at a secondary school in Nilai.

"An initial urine screening conducted on the student found positive results for ketamine, benzodiazepines (benzos) and THC.

"However, the results are still subject to further confirmation," he said in a statement today.

Alzafny said a police report had also been lodged and the student would be referred to the National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) under Section 3(1) of the Drug Dependants (Treatment and Rehabilitation) Act 1983.

He said police viewed drug and illicit substance abuse among students seriously and urged the public not to speculate on the case, as this could affect the investigation. - November 5, 2026
