KUALA LUMPUR – The partially decomposed body of a man was found by the public in a shrub area at Jalan F, Kg Pandan Dalam, Ampang here yesterday.

Ampang Jaya district deputy police chief Mohd Azam Ismail said the public informed police about the body at about 7.30pm.

“Preliminary investigations at the scene found that the body discovered by the public was in a semi-rotten condition.

“The body is believed to be that of an adult male. He was fully clothed but no identity document was found at the scene,” he said in a statement today.

He said that so far, no criminal element has been detected and investigations are still ongoing, including to identify the victim’s citizenship status.

He said the body has been sent to the Chancellor Tuanku Muhriz Hospital here for a post-mortem. The case was classified as sudden death.
