A WOMAN’S body was found covered in blood on the road in Kampung Kubang Kiat, Ketereh, Kota Bahru, around midnight.

The victim, who was in her 20s, was found by the public who was passing by the area at 12.30 am, with several injuries believed to have been stabbed in the stomach, back and face.

The victim was initially thought to be sleeping on the road before it was realised that she had died before passers by immediately contacted the police.

Her body has been taken to the Forensic Unit of the Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital (HRPZ II), here, for a post-mortem and to identify next of kin.

The police are expected to issue a statement regarding the discovery of the body today. – May 1, 2026
