KUALA LUMPUR – Galas assemblyman Mohd Syahbuddin Hashim today said he has tested positive for Covid-19 after undergoing a swab test in Kelantan last Saturday.

In a Facebook post today, Syahbuddin, who added his wife had also contracted the virus, said they will be admitting themselves in at Kuala Krai Hospital.

“With great sadness and regret, today my wife and I were confirmed positive for Covid-19. To all those who were in close contact with us, we would like to apologise to those who may have been affected and are required to undergo swab tests.

“Gua Musang has been declared a red zone; everyone should be careful.”

Syahbuddin’s statement comes after Nenggiri assemblyman Ab Aziz Yusoff and Gua Musang Umno Youth chief Mohd Azmawi Fikri Abdul Ghani tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday.

Aziz and Azmawi Fikri have been admitted to Hospital Sultan Ismail Petra for treatment and are in stable condition.

The two had, in a Facebook post, also called on Gua Musang folk to pray for their safety. – The Vibes, January 11, 2021
