KL’s Jalan Raja Laut 1 renamed Jalan Palestin

KUALA LUMPUR – Jalan Raja Laut 1 has been renamed Jalan Palestin, said the Kuala Lumpur mayor today.

Datuk Nor Hisham Ahmad Dahlan, in a statement, said the idea to change the road name was mooted at the World Quds Day assembly held at the Kuala Lumpur City Hall Square from May 26 to 31 last year.

“The Federal Territories Ministry requested that a road in Kuala Lumpur be named Jalan Palestin.

“Renaming the road symbolises Malaysia’s support for the Palestinian people’s struggle against oppression, and ultimately, to form a Palestinian state.” – Bernama, September 27, 2020
