SHAH ALAM – Teratai assemblyman Bryan Lai has today announced that he is leaving DAP to become an independent who supports the Pakatan Harapan coalition, which is made up of Amanah, DAP and PKR.

He said the decision is made to resolve his personal problems, adding that he does not want DAP to be embroiled in allegations about him allegedly having extramarital affairs.

“I love DAP and do not want the party’s good name to be affected because of the issues I am facing. But I am still pro-PH and will not join any other party.”

His decision does not affect the administration of the PH government in Selangor.
