KOTA KINABALU – The Sabah Disaster Management Committee today has allowed three shopping malls in the state in the Hotspot Identification for Dynamic Engagement (HIDE) system to continue operations.

State Covid-19 spokesman Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said following the decision, stricter enforcement will be carried out at the centres to ensure vendors and visitors comply with the set standard operating procedures to contain Covid-19.

“We have ordered Rela and Kota Kinabalu City Council personnel to check customers at the entrance and control the crowd.

“We will only close and sanitise the centres if there are cases of Covid-19.”

Yesterday, Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said premises listed in HIDE are identified as potential at-risk locations in the transmission of Covid-19 infection, and will be ordered to close for three days immediately.
