KUALA LUMPUR – Selangor’s 34 subdistricts will no longer be under the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) from today onwards.
In a statement, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the EMCO that was imposed since July 3 will not be extended following an advisory by the Health Ministry.
The July 3 EMCO order included 34 subdistricts in Selangor and 14 localities here. Over the week, the affected localities here saw their EMCO orders lifted.
This comes amid record-high Covid-19 cases over the past four days, with the highest being yesterday’s 13,215 and today’s 12,541.
However, today’s EMCO relaxation does not include Damai Apartment in PJS 8, Jalan Pandan Indah in Ampang, Jalan Batu Nilam in Bandar Bukit Tinggi and Taman Samudera in Gombak.
These localities will be under EMCO between July 18 and July 31.
Meanwhile, the EMCO will be imposed between July 18 and July 31 in 13 localities in Kuantan, Pahang, comprising:
- Tg Lumpur
- Peramu
- Anak Air
- Sg Derhaka
- Kempadang
- Sg Soi
- Kg Pahang
- Taman Seri Inderapura
- Taman Indera Sempurna
- Taman Tas & Pandan
- Sg Isap
- Lorong Seri Teruntum
- Taman Impianku
Other areas under EMCO from July 18-31 are:
- Taman Chengal in Temerloh, Pahang
- Ladang Sawit KLK Lungmanis & Perumahan Kilang in Lahad Datu, Sabah
- Kg Pinolobuh Bukid in Kota Belud, Sabah
- PPR Taman Ehsan in Kudat, Sabah
- Kg Seratau in Kuching, Sarawak
- Kg Astana Lot in Kuching, Sarawak
- Kg Sg Bedil Besa in Kuching, Sarawak
Two areas will see their EMCO extended to July 31 – Kg Siasai Dundau in Kota Belud and Kg Naruntung in Pitas, Sabah.
The EMCO ends tomorrow for:
- Kilang Jimat Jaya Sdn Bhd, Kawasan Industri Ringan Bukit Makmur & Asrama Pekerja, Kuala Muda, Kedah
- Kg Pantai Emas, Kota Belud, Sabah
- Kg Iban Kuala Nansang, Tawau, Sabah
- Kg Babagon, Penampang, Sabah
- Taman Nagasari, Mukim 6, Seberang Prai Tengah, Penang
