KUALA LUMPUR – Police arrested 15 individuals, including a teenager and civil servant, in a raid on a party at a luxury service suite in Jalan Ceylon here early this morning.

Dang Wangi police chief Mohamad Zainal Abdullah said the raid was carried out by the district Narcotics Crime Investigation Department, Integrity and Standard Compliance Department and Special Branch following a public tip-off.

All the suspects, comprising six men and nine women, are Malaysians aged between 17 and 45, and have been taken to Dang Wangi police headquarters.

During the raid at the upscale Lanson Place Bukit Ceylon, police also found speakers, disco lights and traces of drugs.

“Three men and eight women were found positive for drugs,” Zainal said, calling the event a “wild party”.

The case is being investigated under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, and Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Regulations for engaging in social activities during the current pandemic lockdown. – The Vibes, August 5, 2021
