KUALA LUMPUR – Police have recovered a torched car believed to be involved in the fatal shooting of a 42-year-old local businessman near the Ascot Hill golf course at Bukit Rahman Putra, Sg Buloh, on Monday.

Selangor police chief Datuk Arjunaidi Mohamed said police found the torched Toyota Hilux approximately 1.5km away from the scene of the shooting.

“An investigation was carried out and we discovered the car was reported stolen in Klang back in 2019, and so far, there has been no arrests yet as the investigation is still ongoing,” he said.

He added that Monday’s victim had six prior criminal offences related to robbery and criminal intimidation, and police are still investigating whether the victim was involved in any activity that might have triggered the incident.

The victim was rushed to Sg Buloh Hospital for treatment after being shot four times by unknown assailants but died from his injuries. – The Vibes, August 18, 2021
