KUALA LUMPUR – Next week’s Dewan Rakyat sitting has been pushed to September 13, according to a letter sent to all MPs late last night.

No reason was stated in the letter issued by Dewan Rakyat secretary Nizam Mydin Bacha Mydin.

The anticipated sitting is expected to see the tabling on a confidence motion by newly minted Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

Now, the Dewan Rakyat’s fourth sitting will be from September 13 to October 12.

The letter comes after news that Ismail Sabri is under home quarantine after coming into close contact with a Covid-19 patient.

He also skipped the swearing-in of his cabinet yesterday. – The Vibes, August 31, 2021
