BUTTERWORTH – A lorry driver pleaded not guilty in the sessions court here today to four criminal charges involving unnatural intercourse, rape and robbery, last week.
The accused, Zul Mazuan Zul Hilman @ Suresh Kumar, 25, asked to be tried after all the charges were read before judge Nor Aini Yusof.
According to the first charge, Zul Mazuan was charged with intentionally having sexual intercourse against the rules of nature with a Myanmar woman by inserting a penis into her mouth.
On the second charge, he was accused of robbing a sum of RM200 by using a knife on the same victim.
For the third charge, the man was accused of raping the woman while he held a knife to her neck.
The three offences were allegedly committed at No.14, Tingkat Kikik 2, Taman Inderawasih, in Prai near here on October 12 at about 4am.
Zul Mazuan was charged with committing the three offences under Section 377B and Section 392 of the Penal Code, read together with Section 397 and Section 376(2)(b) of the Penal Code.
Meanwhile, in the same court, the man was also charged with robbing a female citizen of RM200 under Section 392 of the Penal Code.
The offence was allegedly committed at Medan Kikik 1 in Prai near here on October 9, at about 5.15am.
Nor Aini allowed the accused bail of RM50,000 with one surety, with the condition that he cannot harass the victim and witnesses until the trial is over.
The court also set November 29 for remention.
The case was handled by deputy public prosecutors Aisyah Al Humayrah Kamarulzaman and Nur Fazliyana Ahmad, while the accused was represented by a lawyer known only as Yoges.

In the incident at about 4am, the suspect also committed a robbery when he ran away with RM200 in cash belonging to the 23-year-old victim. – The Vibes, October 22, 2021
