GEORGE TOWN – The local social media scene is abuzz on the eve of the new year with photographs and news of Malaysia’s first ever Penthouse magazine cover model.

Not much is known about Siew Pui Yi, 23, who goes by the moniker MsPuiyi – other than she will be Penthouse’s January Pet of the Month, adorning the cover of the raunchy United States-based magazine.

Penthouse, which is notorious for featuring fully nude models, mentions Siew as hailing from Penang.

Siew announced on her social media account that she is featured on the magazine’s cover for its January 2022 issue.

“I will be the first Southeast Asian woman to be on the cover issues (sic),” she claimed. “It’s my honor to be the pet of the month.”

She added that it feels like a dream and that she is grateful.

A check on her Instagram account shows she has 16 million followers. She is also apparently involved in pornography, accessible for viewing via paid subscription on a website.

Many of her photographs show her scantily clad in exotic locales.

Siew is a social media influencer, with Grammy award winning rapper Snoop Dogg among her followers. She is also said to be the founder of a cosmetic brand.

According to information published in Penthouse, she previously worked as a waitress and usher, and has most recently been acting, modelling and building her “makeup empire”.

In a social media post, Siew featured photographs of herself posing with a stack of copies of the Penthouse issue, newly removed from a box, with her on the cover.

Siew is said to have completed her schooling at a private school in Kuala Lumpur, plotting her career as an influencer since she was a teenager. – The Vibes, December 31, 2021
