KUALA LUMPUR – Another celebrity candidate for the PKR party elections has bitten the dust.

Popular celebrity and director Datuk Afdlin Shauki Aksan joined the ranks of Datuk Hans Isaac and Syed Ahmad Abdul Rahman Alhadad – Altimet – with his defeat in the running for the Setiawangsa division chief post at the hands of incumbent and Setiawangsa MP Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad.

The actor managed to garner 372 votes compared with his rival Nik Nazmi, who obtained 482 votes.

Earlier, Hans and Altimet were also defeated in the bid for the Ampang branch chief position.

Daing Muhammad Reduan Bachok won the day with 942 votes, a comfortable 333 majority against Hans who obtained 609 votes and Altimet who took home 589 votes.

The three celebrities managed to garner a lot of attention during the contest simply because of their status as celebrities. – The Vibes, May 29, 2022
