MIRI – A sand barge has capsized in Sg Pusa as authorities continue searching for a missing crew member identified as Nicholas Julius.

The other four crew members managed to swim to the Beladin bridge for safety when the incident reportedly happened around 9.30am.

The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department said in a statement that search and rescue operations are ongoing as teams comb the river and its banks for the missing man.

It added that the cause of the incident has yet to be determined. – The Vibes, September 17, 2022
