KUALA LUMPUR – Five houses near the Kg Baru Gateway in Jalan Raja Muda Musa here were destroyed in a fire last night.

Senior operations commander Rahmat Kamarulzaman said on receiving an emergency call at 8.19pm, 36 firefighters were rushed to the scene from the fire and rescue stations in Titiwangsa, Sentul, Jalan Tun Razak and Hang Tuah, as well as the Emergency Assistance Unit.

“The fire involved a (partitioned) house comprising five small units…(it) was 90% destroyed.

“There were no casualties. The cause and estimated losses are still under investigation,” he said. – Bernama, November 7, 2022
