KUALA LUMPUR – A young man claiming to be the chief cybertrooper of Perikatan Nasional (PN) has caused a stir when he asked PAS deputy president Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man to withdraw from contesting in the 15th general election (GE15).

Using the @MAjidMNoor TikTok handle, he claimed that Tuan Ibrahim’s perceived connection to a flood mitigation and sewage treatment plant controversy was becoming acute after Rafizi Ramli’s allegation on the matter.

On November 12, Tuan Ibrahim, who is the caretaker environment and water resources minister, had said he will file a defamation suit against PKR deputy president Rafizi for allegedly claiming that he had approved the flood mitigation works after the dissolution of Parliament.

“Today, I am having a PC (press conference) again as the chief cybertrooper of Perikatan Nasional to ask Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man to withdraw as a candidate for this election,” said the Twitter user.

“After Rafizi Ramli’s expose, it seems that Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man’s involvement in the RM2 billion flood mitigation and sewage plant scandal is becoming apparent,” he alleged on a video uploaded on TikTok.

“So, I ask the highest leadership, Abah and Ayah Chik, to persuade Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man to withdraw as soon as possible before we Perikatan Nasional cybertroopers undertake undesired actions.”

“Abah” refers to PN chairman and Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin. “Ayah Chik” is an informal reference to Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang, the president of PAS, which is also a PN component.

“We are truly embarrassed and disappointed,” he said. “We are no longer able to defend ourselves against the insults and sarcasm of our opponents, who say that the ‘Clean and Stable’ slogan we are chanting sounds like talk without action,” he said.

Some netizens claimed in the comments section that the young man was actually a supporter of Pakatan Harapan (PH) who was trying to foster hatred towards PN.

User Najman Ibrahim182 claimed that the young man was Rafizi’s protege.

“This is a student of RR (Rafizi). Remember, that life is short,” he said.

Rafizi was previously quoted as saying that Tuan Ibrahim needed to explain why Mangkubumi Sdn Bhd was hired as the contractor for the RM578.6 million Krubong-Durian Tunggal flood mitigation project under the Jana Wibawa program.
