KUALA LUMPUR – Pakatan Harapan’s Datuk R. Ramanan has edged past Barisan Nasional’s Khairy Jamaluddin to claim victory in the Sg Buloh seat.

The result means Khairy, who is contesting outside Rembau for the first time, will not enter Parliament after three consecutive terms as MP.

Sources confirmed to The Vibes that Ramanan has secured enough votes to secure a win, while Khairy’s team has also declared defeat.

The Election Commission, however, has yet to release its official vote count.

Ramanan defeated seven other candidates to win the constituency located in central Selangor, which has a total number of 158,090 registered voters.

Sg Buloh was previously held by PKR’s Sivarasa Rasiah, who won the seat in 2018 with a staggering majority of 26,634 votes. – The Vibes, November 20, 2022
