IPOH – A man was killed when a lorry he was travelling in plunged into a ravine and burst into flames at KM265 of the North-South Expressway (northbound) today.

A spokesperson for the Perak Fire and Rescue Department said they received a call at 7.52am before a team from the Meru Fire and Rescue Station, assisted by a team from the Ipoh Fire and Rescue Station, was dispatched to the scene.

On arrival, the team found a lorry laden with diesel that had burst into flames after falling into a ravine, and operation was still ongoing to douse the fire, he said in a statement today. – Bernama, December 5, 2022
