KOTA KINABALU – Warisan has urged Transport Minister Anthony Loke to review road tax charges and in view of the terrible road conditions in Sabah.
Party secretary-general Datuk Loretto Padua Jr said this as the roads in the state have not been properly maintained. He also called for a one-off 20% car-parts subsidy for vehicles with a capacity of 2,500cc and below.
“I hope this suggestion could be included in the 2023 budget which is expected to be re-tabled by the unity government.
“I am prepared to meet with Loke to discuss this matter as this is a critical issue for the people in Sabah, especially those in the rural areas,” he said in a statement today. – The Vibes, December 9, 2022
