IPOH – Two men were killed in a two-car crash at KM208.6 of the West Coast Expressway near Sitiawan this morning.

A Sitiawan Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said they received an emergency call regarding the accident at 7.35am and a team of rescuers was rushed to the scene.

“The accident involved a Proton Saga and a Toyota Vios, which skidded and crashed into the road divider near the Sitiawan Utara exit.

“The two men in the Toyota Vios died on the spot while the third man sustained injuries after being thrown out of the car. Another man, who is the driver of the Proton Saga, escaped unhurt,” he said in a statement today.

The spokesman said the rescue operation ended at 8.46am and the case was handed over to police for further action. – Bernama, December 30, 2022
