KUALA LUMPUR – International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Zambry Abdul Kadir, and Umno information chief Isham Jalil are among the 25 Umno members elected to its Supreme Council.

According to the official results of the party’s polls, other Supreme Council members include Umno secretary-general and Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan, Deputy Home Minister Datuk Seri Shamsul Anuar Nasarah, Kinabatangan MP Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin, and former Lembaga Tabung Haji chairman and former Baling MP Datuk Seri Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim.

The results were confirmed by the party’s elections committee chairman Tan Sri Shahrir Abdul Samad following the voting process involving 187 divisions today, Umno Online reported.

The newly elected members of the Supreme Council will serve in that capacity for the 2023 to 2026 session.

Isham, who was previously an aide to former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, had also shared the official results on Facebook this evening. – The Vibes, March 19, 2023
