KUALA LUMPUR – Four BMW cars, which were just unloaded from its transport truck, were destroyed in a midnight fire at a car gallery near Taman Eco Ara Damansara.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Morni Mamat said in a statement that the fire involved a new BMW X5, two used BMW 5 Series and a used BMW 7 Series.

“Two of the vehicles were about 70% damaged while the other two were 100% destroyed.”

He added that a team of nine firefighters from the Petaling Jaya station were deployed to the scene upon receiving an emergency call at 12.30am.

It took them nearly 30 minutes to put out the blaze.

The cause of the fire is being investigated while total losses are yet to be determined. – The Vibes, April 10, 2023
