KUALA LUMPUR – Ashman Najib’s engagement to Nicola Mulyadi was “incomplete” as his father Datuk Seri Najib Razak was absent, said Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Puad Zarkashi.

Puad also expressed hope that “bossku” would be able to attend Ashman’s solemnisation and wedding ceremony later.

“Let us pray that ‘bossku’ would attend Ashman and Nicola’s solemnisation and wedding ceremony. May god preserve ‘bossku’,” he said in a Facebook post.

He added that hopefully, Najib would one day return to help the rakyat.

Puad also describes that Ashman was jubilant and excited as the latter and his fiancee would visit Najib at Kajang Prison after the ceremony.

In the solemnisation ceremony, Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Johan Aziz represented Nicola while Datuk Megat Zulkarnain Omardin represented Najib’s family.

Also present were Najib’s wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor and Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan.
