KUALA LUMPUR – Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change Minister Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad today denied the claim that his officer was called in by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to assist in its investigation.

He also denied the allegation that he had sacked the officer over the supposed probe.

“So far, none of my officers have been called by the MACC,” he said in a statement.

However, if there is any investigation, Nik Nazmi stressed that he and all his officers are ready to give full cooperation to the authorities.

Yesterday, a news portal claimed that Nik Nazmi and Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil had sacked their respective officers over the alleged probe. – Bernama, May 13, 2023
