KUALA LUMPUR – The remaining two days of the Good Vibes Festival have been cancelled, said the communications and digital minister.

“The festival was cancelled immediately after we met the organiser today,” Fahmi Fadzil said in a statement, adding that the organiser was told to find the best way to make refunds.

The cancellation follows a controversial incident involving UK band The 1975 last night.

Frontman Matty Healy had on the first day of the three-day concert at the Sepang International Circuit last night, criticised Malaysia’s LGBT laws before kissing his male bandmate.

“The unity government’s stand is very clear. There will be no compromise with any party that challenges, belittles, or violates Malaysian laws,” Fahmi said. – The Vibes, July 22, 2023
