KUALA LUMPUR – A poster circulating on social media about a “Madani allowance” for civil servants is fake.

The Finance Ministry urged the public in a Facebook post to be cautious and not easily fall for such news on social media.

The poster with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s face on it also carries the ministry’s logo and social media accounts.

The poster claims a minimum of RM800 is being paid to all civil servants as a “Madani allowance”.

The ministry urged the public to only accept information coming from official channels, not spread through social media. – The Vibes, July 26, 2023
