PETALING JAYA – Police are now looking for a road bully who was caught on video assaulting a food delivery rider in Klang on October 1.

The drama at the traffic light junction along Jalan Langat-Klang unfolded after the delivery rider, a 21-year-old man, honked at the driver of a Proton Saga.

Apparently unhappy at being honked at, the driver confronted the rider at the traffic light junction.

In a news report, South Klang district police chief Cha Hoong Fong said the rider was pushed off his bike. He was then strangled, punched in the face, and kicked in the stomach and legs multiple times.

With the matter now a police case, investigation is being carried out under Section 323/427 of the Penal Code and the road bully is now a wanted man.

The incident went viral after footage of the assault was shared on the Grabfood Rider Community Malaysia Facebook page by Razalin Shah.

It has since garnered close to 5,000 shares with the video collecting over half a million in views.

Netizens were outraged at what happened, calling for the authorities to apprehend the road bully.

As seen in the video, the assault eventually ended when the suspect got back in his Proton Saga as traffic had begun to build up at the traffic light.

Other bikers in the vicinity tried to stop the man from beating up the rider but he appeared relentless. – The Vibes, October 3, 2023
