LEE Zii Jia has won a second bronze medal in the Paris 2024 Olympics, defeating India's Lakhsya Sen in the playoff for third place.

World No. 7 Zii Jia staged a comeback after losing the first game, ultimately winning 13-21, 21-16, 21-11.

He becomes the third Malaysian, following Rashid Sidek (bronze at Atlanta 1992) and Lee Chong Wei – who won silver in Beijing (2008), London (2012), and Rio (2016) – to clinch a podium finish in the men’s singles competition.

Zii Jia’s victory tonight comes after Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik fought back to win bronze against Denmark’s world No. 2 Anders Skaarup Rasmusen-Kim Astrup in the men’s doubles competition yesterday. – August 5, 2024.
