MIKE Tyson was beaten by YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul as the heavyweight legend was dominated in a one-sided contest at AT&T Stadium in Texas.

While the veteran 58-year-old Tyson lasted all of eight rounds comprising two minutes each, the young Paul managed to wear down the former undisputed heavyweight champion with more decisive strikes as the bout progressed.

Their long-awaited fight saw Paul, 27, comfortably the quicker, fitter and more accurate man as Tyson was unable to keep pace.

Tyson eventually went down, with the official scoreline reading a 78-74 win in favour of Paul, who recorded the 11th win of his professional boxing career.

Paul was greeted with boos as he played up to the role of villain while a 75,000-crowd showed its support for Tyson.

Both fighters shared a friendly embrace at the end of the fight, with Paul hailing his revered opponent as the “greatest ever to do it.” - November 16, 2024
