KUALA LUMPUR – National men’s doubles shuttlers Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik marked their appointment as brand ambassadors of Malaysia’s No 1 isotonic drink 100PLUS by vowing to give their best, with the 2020 Olympic Games being their ultimate target.

The pair said the two-year deal would motivate them to work harder to achieve success in the world’s biggest multi-sport Games next year.

Aaron said he doesn’t view the 100PLUS sponsorship as additional pressure, instead, he feels that it would inspire them to make a name for themselves on the world stage.

“I did consider this offer many times before accepting it. We promise we will give our best to ensure we win the tournaments that we compete in,” he said after signing the deal with 100PLUS at the Academy Badminton Malaysia (ABM) here today.

Wooi Yik, meanwhile, said although they want to win as many titles as they can, their ultimate aim was to achieve success at the Tokyo Olympics next year.

As 100PLUS ambassadors, the pair will don official attire with the brand logo at every tournament.

Meanwhile, 100PLUS senior marketing manager Leong Wai Yin promised to reward the pair with an incentive if they win a medal at the Tokyo Olympics.

“Of course we will give them something if they win a medal in Tokyo. However, the amount has not been decided yet. We will reward them to ensure they stay motivated,” she said. – Bernama, September 25, 2020
