KUALA LUMPUR - It looks like KitKat's Chunky will become fuel for e-sports atheletes competing in the University e-League (UEL).
In a press statement yesterday the UEL announced that Kit Kat Chunky, would additionally be a sponsor for the e-sports league, setting its foot into the most anticipated collegiate e-sports circuit in the country.
KitKat Chunky further contends that its venture into this arena, would offer exciting opportunities to gamers and e-sports enthusiasists.
"Built on its reputation as the ultimate go-to chocolate snack to have a break, KitKat Chunky hopes to ‘power up’ gaming experiences for student gamers and esports enthusiasts nationwide.
"Acknowledging that their relentless passion for gaming can lead to fatigue.
"KitKat Chunky aims to encourage gamers to step away from their screen, enjoy a break and power up in effort to feel re-energized before the next round," the statement read.
Come June 14, the UEL will open registration to universty e-sports teams throughout Malaysia in four action-packed game titles, for a combined prize pool of RM20,000.
Scheduled to be broadcasted online, viewers can expect to see these e-atheletes battle it out on Dota 2, League Of Legends: Wild Rift, and the Mobile Legends.
There would be two stages of competition, namely the qualifiers and grand finals held between July 9 and August 15. - The Vibes, June 15, 2021
