KUALA LUMPUR - Based on the latest SOP sent to gym owners by the Youth and Sports Ministry on July 4, indoor sports are still not allowed even at reduced capacities. This also applies to states in the second phase of the recovery plan.

Meanwhile, outdoor sports are permissible at 50% capacity and indoor sports are only allowed for management positions.

All water sports activities bar fishing are still not permissible in the second phase.

The second phase allows individual recreational physical activities like jogging, as long as they are within 10km of their housing area while maintaining a physical distance of 2-3 meters.

Sports that have been approved by the Youth and Sports Ministry are allowed to proceed as long as they keep to the sports bubble and without spectators. All athletic training is to be camp based. - The Vibes, July 5, 2021
