JOHOR − Johor Darul Ta'zim FC (JDT) & world-renowned Aston Martin Racing Asia have today announced a landmark partnership that further emphasises the Southern Tigers as a leading football brand in Southeast Asia.

The partnership will also see Aston Martin release a limited edition JDT-themed design for their range of cars that will be sold by the club.

However, further details of how many cars will be sold and the price of the car have yet to be decided.

"We are proud and delighted to have reached an agreement with the Brand's Headquarters based in United Kingdom and Asia office," said the club in a statement.

"The partnership with the British auto racing outfit is not only very valuable monetarily to JDT but is also a deep-rooted relationship that is going to develop opportunities for JDT, Johor and Aston Martin Racing in various areas over the coming years."

The partnership can also be described as 'champions in respective fields teaming up' as JDT are the current seven times consecutive Malaysia Super League winners while Aston Martin Racing are the 2020 Le Mans Endurance champion.

JDT are winning on the field with consistent success and dominating headlines off the pitch with its world-class infrastructure, brand power and relationships with renowned international clubs, personnel, organisations, and business entities.

Aston Martin Racing is one of the many international brands currently on board with the Southern Tigers. Among the other renowned international sponsors and partners include UNICEF, Nike, Hublot, Subway, F&N, SWAG EV and more.

The ties with international brands also signify the club's massive growth in brand power and stature both domestically and internationally since HRH Major General Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim established JDT in 2013. − The Vibes July 27, 2021
