Mike Tyson ‘scared to fight’ Evander Holyfield: Ryan Kavanaugh
Former heavyweight boxer, Mike Tyson (pictured right) – seen here during his WBA heavyweight championship fight with Evander Holyfield in 1997 where Evander won by disqualification in the the third round after Mike bit his ear – is allegedly afraid to face his old nemesis in the ring, according to Triller boss, Ryan Kavanaugh

ACCORDING to Ryan Kavanaugh – boss of boxing streaming service, Triller – Mike Tyson is “too scared” to face rival Evander Holyfield in the ring again as he doesn’t want to get knocked out by his American compatriot.

Both fighters have faced each other numerous times in the ring but their most memorable moment would have to be the one where Mike bit Evander in their world title bout.

In an interview with Sky Sports, this is what Ryan said: “We have been told that he is scared to fight Evander. There has been back and forth hoopla, there is a massive payday ready for Mike to fight on Thanksgiving. A massive payday, one of his biggest!

“But we can’t seem to push it along. Now I have heard, from a number of reliable sources, that Mike is too scared. He thinks Evander would knock him out.”

It’s believed that Mike is currently pursuing a match against Lennox Lewis after fighting Roy Jones Jr in an exhibition bout last year.

Apart from Mike and Evander, several other boxers have come out of retirement of late, including David Haye, who announced that he will be fighting Joe Fournier on Evander’s upcoming undercard.

Evander is set to face Vitor Belfort on September 11 after original opponent, Oscar De La Hoya, tested positive for coronavirus. – Agencies, September 8, 2021
